Targeted audience
The contents targeted at a specialized audience of economists, competition lawyers and policymakers interested in competition policy and its enforcement. The discussions included the broad theoretical framework to gain an understanding of the various types of conduct and their anti-competitive consequences, and presentation of facts and figures and some legal issues. The course was also a rich source of research ideas for PhD students in Economics and Law & Economics scholars.
Biography Mike Walker
Mike Walker, a Vice President at CRA International , is a leading expert on the economic aspects of competition policy, with more than fourteen years of consulting experience. His previous roles include being Director of Competition Policy at London Economics, a Senior Regulatory Economist with British Telecom and a Senior Associate at Lexecon Ltd. in London and Brussels. He is the co-author of The Economics of EU Competition Law (Sweet & Maxwell, second edition, 2002). He is the Visiting Professor of Competition Economics at Loughborough University, a Visiting Fellow at Kings College, London, and the Course Director for the Masters/Diploma in Competition Economics at Kings College, London.
